The multi-talented Andre Previn is heard on this recording as the leader of a trio with bassist Red Mitchell and drummer Frankie Capp. Previn always had his own swing/bop piano style, and he is in top form on two of his originals (including the bluish "Much Too Late") and four superior standards. This fine release gives one an excellent example of Previn's skills as a jazz pianist. ~ Scott Yanow https://www.allmusic.com/album/king-size%21-mw0000276385

DeleteGiullia, would it please be possible to provide a working link allowing me to download this Andre Previn album. Thanks if it is, best wishes Terry Peck.
ReplyDeleteHey Terry, new link posted!
DeleteThanks Giullia, wasn't aware of this album until I was scrolling through your blog. Takes me back to my 6th form school days when the Shelly Manne and Friends 'My Fair Lady' album was constantly in the turntable and we didn't have the resources to find out any others similar recordings. Great stuff, best wishes, Terry Peck.
DeleteHey Terry, enjoy!
